Part time Contractor -Coordinator of Volunteers for BBPA

The Boundary Bay Park Association (BBPA) is seeking a contractor to provide support to our organization in volunteer coordination, communications and administration. The Coordinator of Volunteers (C of V) will work an average of 25 to 30 hours per month, including some evenings and weekends in the Park and at Cammidge House, as well as from home on her/his own computer. The Position

To support both the Board of Directors and committees in the following areas:

    • Implementing the 2017 BBPA Stewardship Plan and engaging in the planning of this program for future years.
    • Managing and growing a diverse BBPA volunteer program
    • Recruitment, recognition and retention of volunteers
    • Coordinating events and fundraising campaigns
    • Community outreach and advocacy on behalf of the Society
    • Board and committee administration
    • Coordinating society communications with the board, society membership and volunteers

Scotch Broom Removal – Oct 22, 2016

Join the Boundary Bay Park Association in removing one of the last patches of Scotch Broom from Boundary Bay Regional Park from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Wet weather plan…Meet at Cammidge house. Alternative removal site location: behind Cammidge small scotch broom patch and isolated larger scotch broom plants in front of Cammidge house

By helping to remove invasive species you are protecting the biodiversity of species in such an important and beautiful place.

Gloves, tools, snacks and refreshments will all be provided, so please just wear sturdy footwear, dress appropriately for the weather and be ready to work hard and have fun.
