Sunday, June 21st was a special date when families gathered again this year at Centennial Beach to celebrate Father’s Day. Now a South Delta tradition the annual pancake breakfast was hosted by the Boundary Bay Park Association and Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club between 9.00am and noon.
The breakfast was prepared and served from the Lions Club mobile kitchen is $6 for pancake and sausage – add an egg for $1 and children under 12 years the cost is just $3.
Sunday in the Park is ideal for making Dad’s feel appreciated, especially when they do so much for their families without making too much fuss. Yet June 21st was not only to honor the Dad holding a special place in a child’s life but also grandfather’s, relatives or anyone who has been a role model.
Geof Hacker of the Boundary Bay Park Association has been involved with this event for many years and comments “Any one can be a Father, but it takes a special person to be a Dad”. If further information is required phone Geof at 604.943.1303.
